A man was taken to hospital after a serious assault in a Rugby town centre nightclub.

The attack is believed to have happened at around 3am hours on Sunday September 1 when a man was punched in the face in the toilet area of Boutique and the Beach nightclub, previously known as Fever in High Street.

The man was taken to hospital where he needed surgery for a broken cheek bone.

Officers are asking any members of the public who may have witnessed the assault or have any information that could assist them in identifying a possible offender to please contact PC 465 Emma Matthews on 101 quoting incident 178 of 6 September or independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
