A man has been sentenced to three years in prison in connection with a burglary where two cars were stolen from a property in Rugby.

On January 26 a property in Alicia Close, Cawston was broken into and keys to an Audi A1 and a Mercedes CLS were stolen. The cars were recovered two days later.

Stephen Little, aged 26, of Old Farm Road, Birmingham pleaded not guilty to the offence but was convicted by a jury at Coventry Crown Court. He was sentenced on Tuesday.

Temporary Det Sgt Stephen Flavell of Rugby CID said: “I believe that this result sends out a strong message to all offenders, both local and cross-border, that we will find them and bring them to justice regardless of their geographical location.”
