Man seriously injured after collision with a car in Rugby town centre

A man suffered serious injuries when he was in collision with a car in Rugby town centre on Saturday morning.

The collision followed an altercation between a group of men in a black Range Rover and another group waiting at the taxi rank at the Clock Tower at about 4.30am on Saturday morning.

The Range Rover left the scene following the collision.

The injured male, who is 33 years old, suffered serious leg injuries and was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire where he is in a stable condition.

Three men, two aged 24 and one aged 22, have been arrested in connection with the incident and are currently in custody.

Police closed North Street following the incident on Saturday morning to investigate.
