A MOTORCYCLIST has been taken to hospital following a collision with a car near Wolvey.
Emergency services were called to the junction of Coal Pit Lane and the B4112 in Wolvey shortly after 6.20am yesterday (Monday)
A doctor, paramedic support and two ambulance crews attended, along with Warwickshire Fire and Rescue.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “The motorcyclist, a man in his forties was trapped beneath the car in a ditch for about an hour and was freed by the fire service.
“He was checked over and treated at the scene but was found to have no obvious major injury. He was immobilised and was taken to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for further assessment.
“There were three people in the car, all of whom were checked over at the scene and discharged.”
