A WOMEN-ONLY gym was opened by Rugby mayor Cllr Gwen Hotten on Saturday.

Active Women’s Health and Fitness Centre, on School Street, Hillmorton has undergone a major refurbishment and is now open to new members looking to improve their lifestyle or get advice from personal trainers.

Business owner Alex Brannan said: “Through the Active Women’s club we’re hoping to inject some motivation into the town and get more people in Rugby active.

“We want to create a relaxed, friendly atmosphere and the centre has been fitted out with new equipment.

“We offer flexible memberships and the help and support of personal trainers is included in the price.”
