Meet Keira, Rugby’s Child of the Year 2011

NEARLY 1,300 votes were received for readers’ favourite faces in the Advertiser Child of the Year competition.

Readers had the chance to pick from 93 photos of children across three age categories for Child of the Year 2011 competition, in association with Starlight Studios.

It was split into three age categories: 0-9 months, 10-18 months and 19 months to three years.

The overall winner with the most votes was Keira Morris.

She wins £500 worth of prints from Starlight Studios.

Treacles Treats Party Hire has given the winner a full party package, including a bouncy castle, bubble machine, popcorn cart and sweet buffet.

Matt Phillips, advertising sales manager at the Advertiser, said: “It’s always fantastic to see such a wonderful response for the Child of The Year competition in Rugby - over 1,200 votes this year.

“We certainly have our fair share of proud parents and grandparents, and looking at the photos rightfully so!”

The category winners are:

0-9 months: Logan Bright (no.1038), who wins a prize from Little Impressions consisting of a framed cast of one hand and one foot and a £40 voucher from the Royal Oak Hungry Horse in Hillmorton.

10-18 months: Noah Wakelin (no.2011), who wins a £50 shopping voucher from the Clock Towers shopping centre in Rugby and from Etcetera in Rugby, a Jellycat Truffles large black cat.

Winner 19 months to 3 years: Keira Morris (no.3004), who wins a £50 dance class voucher at Jaide’s Stage Studios and from G-Force Martial Arts Centre, a free children’s beginner course.

Voting: For the 0-9 months category, there were a total of 624 votes (text and post)

For the 10-18 months category, there were a total of 419 votes (text and post)

For the 19 months – 3 years category, there were a total of 224 votes (text and post).
