DOG owners in Rugby have bade a Rugby Borough Council employee a fond farewell.
Mick Goodman, 65, retired from his role as street cleansing driver/operative on Thursday after five years in the job.
One of his jobs, along with colleague Neil Fitzerald, was to empty the dog bins and keep the town’s parks clean.
Dave Adams, speaking on behalf of the dog owners that use Ashalwn rec, said: “Mick and Neil are the hardest working men employed by the council. Mick, we are going to miss you but Neil will still do a brilliant job. From everyone of us doggy owners on Ashlawn rec, good luck Mick and a have a happy retirement.”
