A flower shop brightened up the day for commuters by presenting them with a special ‘Relay Bouquet’.

Garden Gate Flowers, in Regent Street, Rugby, held a Virgin pop-up shop at Rugby Train Station last Friday.

The ‘Relay Bouquets’ were handed to commuters free of charge and they were asked to pass them on to someone else once they reached their destination.

Simon Ainley, of Garden Gate Flowers, said: “We’re thrilled that people are prepared to play the game and that our ‘Relay Bouquets’ have given pleasure and spread smiles across the miles.

“We hope to be at the next ‘Virgin pop-up event’ whenever that may be - and I guess we’ll send out a few more Relay Bouquets on their way.”

The new initiative has been using #milesofsmiles on Twitter.

Three bouquets were pictured in London, Manchester and Liverpool.
