A motorcyclist has been taken to hospital after a serious collision in Shilton.

The incident, which involved a car and a motorbike, happened this morning on the B4029, Bulkington Road.

A spokesperson from Warwickshire Police said: “There was a collision on Bulkington Road near Lovitts Farm involving a white Ford Transit and a black Suzuki motorbike.

“It was reported at 9.35am and a male motorcyclist suffered leg injuries and there are some roads blocked.”

A spokesperson from West Midlands Ambulance Service said: “We were called just after 9.30am to a RTC involving a motorcycle and a car.

“We had two ambulances and a paramedic area support office on the scene.

“We have treated a man in his 20s, who was the motorcyclist, who suffered leg, suspected pelvic and facial injuries. We have given him pain relief and immobilised him and he is on his way to University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire.”

The road was closed this morning.

As of 1.20pm the road reopened.
