STAFF at a Rugby charity shop are flying high after their first year of trading in the town.
The Warwickshire & Northamptonshire Air Ambulance (WNAA) charity shop celebrated with a party at their branch in High Street.
The festivities were led by the new shop manager Paul Hinks.
He said: “I have only been in the job about three weeks but am a local boy and love the challenge.
“Admittedly being a male shop manager in this sector is a bit unusual and I have an army of female staff and volunteers.”
He added: “I have experience working for Cancer Research and my first job ever included dressing the window at Curry’s so I guess I have a natural flair for that!”
By Christmas there will be ten shop in total across the areas covered by WNAA and sister service Derbyshire, Leicestershire & Rutland Air Ambulance.
Paul has ambitious plans to improve the shop’s already strong performance.
He said: “At the moment we are the third best performer from all our charity shops around the regions.
“I will be doing my best to change that.”
