A CONTINENTAL supermarket is the latest new business to open in Rugby town centre.

The 3,000 square foot store, located on North Street, offers a fantastic and delicious array of world foods including Russian, Polish, Latvian, Portugese, Slovakian, Lithuanian, Caribbean, African, Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Kurdish, Romanian and good old English.

Rugby Continental Supermarket started trading just before Christmas and is open seven days a week from 7am to 11pm. Employing 2 full and 3 part time staff it is already proving very popular with customers.

Harry, who owns and manages the supermarket, said: “I’m really keen for people to come and ‘check out’ the store. We are very different from the regular supermarkets and I think people will be pleasantly surprised at what they find. We have a great product range, are competively priced and offer excellent customer service.”

Harry continued: “Since opening there has been huge interest and excellent feedback from customers who are delighted to see something like this in Rugby. When visiting the store if you can’t find what you are looking for let me know and we may be able to source it for you. I look forward to welcoming you to the supermarket.”

Aftab Gaffar, Operations Director for Rugby First said: “Despite the difficult economic climate new businesses continue to open in Rugby and do well. The continental supermarket provides a different shopping experience which I think customers will welcome and enjoy. If you are thinking about setting up a new business and want to be based in the heart of Rugby Town Centre there are a number of units currently available – please get in touch.”
