HUNDREDS of trees have been planted in Cawston to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

Mark Pawsey MP was one of a team of volunteers who went to Cawston on Sunday to help plant 400 trees.

Mr Pawsey said: “It was a pleasure to go along in the sunshine and help others with the planting. There was a really good turnout and it was great to be part of a big team who, out of concern for their local environment, are encouraging others to plant trees in the Jubilee year.”
