ON MONDAY the new Oakfield school will open its doors to pupils for the first time.

Mark Pawsey MP and two Oakfield pupils will cut the ribbon to officially open the new school.

This will be followed by a short welcome assembly.

Earlier this year an exciting and innovative building project started at Oakfield Primary School in Rugby to replace the existing infant and foundation accommodation.

The Sunesis construction scheme provides a pre-designed construction solution that reduces the cost of a new school by up to 30 per cent.

The project at Oakfield is the first of its kind in the country.
