A PROCESSION of classic cars will tour the town on Monday to kick-start the annual town Spring Fair.

The cars will leave the Ken Marriott Leisure Centre and tour the town centre between 10am and 11am on bank holiday Monday ahead of one of the most popular events of the year in Rugby.

After the tour the cars will be on display at the Whitehall Recreation Ground for the duration of the day.

Included in the display will be a multi award winning Racing MGB.

Gates to the Spring Fair will be open at 11.30am on Monday at Whitehall Recreation Ground and the 2011 event is billed to be the best yet.

As well as the usual program of entertainment and events including stalls, games and fun fair there will be the Rugby FM roadshow throughout the day including the Rugby’s Got Talent competition to find the town’s next big thing.

There will also be singing and dancing from local groups and donkey rides.

Asda is sponsoring the event and will be providing a royal wedding-themed area for children and a food-sampling tent.

The Rugby Advertiser will also be at the event taking photographs so look out for us.

The pictures will be published in next week’s edition.
