OPERATION LASER: Three more people charged

THREE more people have been charged as part of the ongoing crack down on serious and organised crime in the county.

The latest arrests and charges, made as part of Operation Laser, bring the total number of arrests to 51

Jake Cannell, aged 23 years, from Peterborough, but currently serving a prison sentence for another matter, was arrested on Tuesday and has been charged with conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and heroin.

John Berrill, 40 years from Millers Dale Close, Rugby, was arrested on Thursday and has been charged with conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and heroin.

Both will appear before magistrates on December 7.

A 17 year old male originally from London, but currently living in Margate, was arrested on Wednesday, and has also been charged with conspiracy to supply crack cocaine and heroin and will appear before the court on 5 December.

Of those arrested and charged during the main enforcement days for Operation Laser (8, 10, 15 November), 32 people appeared before Warwick Crown Court at Leamington on Monday, November 21.

Their cases were adjourned until a date in February. Five others are due to appear before crown court today (Monday).
