A NEW play area and outdoor gym equipment is being enjoyed by young and old in Church Lawford.
The equipment, in Church Lawford Parish Council’s recreation ground in School Street, cost £24,650 to install.
The project leader, parish councillor Sally Bragg, said: “This has taken a long time to come to fruition and I can remember first-hand the frustration of not even having a swing to take your child to. I have had so many villagers coming up to me saying how wonderful it is and I have seen retired people use the gym equipment and a one-year-old on the swing. You can’t get any more diverse than that and I am thrilled that so many people are using it.”
Funding came from the Veolia Environmental Trust, Rugby Borough Council and the Heart of England Community Foundation Kingscliffe Fund.
