WORKERS at a charity shop in Rugby have launched an urgent appeal for more donations.

They say sales at Oxfam went up by 20 per cent at Christmas but donations dropped drastically.

Vijay Adhyaru, manager at the Regent Street shop, said: “We desperately need help as we rely 100 per cent on donations to stock our shops.

“The shop needs quality stock.”

Items that can be donated include good quality, clean clothing (women’s, men’s and children’s) and shoes (including vintage and retro items); jewellery, bags and accessories; books; music (CDs, vinyl, DVDs, videos, musical instruments and sheet music) home wares: china, kitchenware, ornaments, pictures, collectables; toys and games; stamps and coins.

Donations can be worth 25 per cent more by signing up for Gift Aid.
