A CHRISTMAS fair in Dunchurch has helped raise £1,153 to support people with cancer.

Rugby Mayor Cllr Gwen Hotten visited the fair, which took place in the village hall and was staged by the newly-formed group ‘Rugby Loves Cancer Research UK’.

Nicky Sutton, who is a member of the group, said: “For much of the afternoon it was so busy it really did feel like Christmas shopping panic buying!”

There were stalls, a raffle with prizes donated by Dunchurch businesses and stallholders, and homemade refreshments. The organisers would like to thank everybody who helped.
