Panto time in Dunchurch
WHAT IS IT? Dunchurch Pantomaniacs’ Dick Whittington
WHERE AND WHEN IS IT? Dunchurch Village Hall, Friday January 18 to Saturday January 26, 7.30pm (aside from Monday and Tuesday. Matinée on Saturday January 19, 2.30pm)
WHAT DO THEY SAY ABOUT IT?
This year it is one of the very few classic pantomimes which is based on real characters and is not a fairy story. Richard Whittington really was Lord Mayor of London on no less than three occasions and did indeed marry the daughter of an Alderman in the 14th century. This contemporary version of the panto involves the usual mix of baddies and goodies with Fairy Bowbelle looking after the interests of our hero. There will be lots of the thrills and spills, laughter, song and dance everyone expects in this seasonal, fun offering.
