Most shops in Leamington town centre have now re-opened this morning following the national lockdown and shoppers were queuing to get into a new Christmas store opened on the parade.

Magical Story, which also has branches in Banbury, Lichfield and Milton Keynes and specialises in Christmas-themed home and giftware , has opened on the large unit previously occupied by Accessorise and Monsoon in between Hotel Chocolat and The Body Shop .

And due to Covid-19 restrictions the store can only allow a limited number of people through its doors at a time so a queue had formed along the parade and across the junction on Warwick Street which is all currently pedestrianised.

Under the current Tier 3 restrictions cafes and coffee shops in the town centre are only able to open for takeaway service but other shops and hairdressers are now able to serve walk-in customers again.
