A magical winter wonderland event has helped raise money in honour of a little boy in Rugby with leukaemia.

Visitors flocked to St Andrew’s Benn Primary School earlier this month to enjoy the festive fun. It was organised by Jessica Lines and Nicol Gray, who work at Daisykins nursery in Rugby. Jessica said: “Everyone who attended the winter wonderland event had a wonderful day and we raised £668.58. Kind donations have made it up to £1,000.”

Attractions on the day included games, stalls, face paints, a visit from Santa, tombola, refreshments, raffle and arts and crafts. The money is being donated to Bethany’s Wish.

The charity, for children with cancer, was founded by a Coventry family who lost a child to the disease last year.
