After many years at the helm running the event, Janet Haynes has stood down and passed on the key organising responsibility to Rugby Round Table.

Rob Hartfield, of Rugby Round Table, said: “We are eternally grateful to Janet for organising it over the years and developing the event into the success it is now, raising thousands of pounds every year for this vitally important charity.”

With three different routes – the 10-mile Tootle, 26-mile Marathon and the 50-mile challenge, there was a challenge for all aptitudes.

Mr Hartfield added: “The event went really, really well and the weather helped of course.

There was lots of positive feedback and so many said they wanted to do it again.”

Rugby Round Table, which raises thousands every year by putting on the main fireworks display in the town, is keen to keep the feel of the event and add to its success, with the continued support of Newmans Estate Agents, Rugby FM and The Rugby Register.
