Police call for information after motorcyclist damages car windscreen during incident in Rugby

Police officers in Rugby are appealing to motorists, pedestrians and other road users who may have witnessed an incident on Newton Manor Lane earlier this month.

The incident happened at approximately 3.20pm on Sunday, October 2.

It involved a motorcyclist throwing an object - believed to be masonry of some sort - at the windscreen of a Ford Mondeo as it drove past, causing extensive damage to the windscreen.

It is believed the motorcycle and the Ford Mondeo had been involved in a collision on the A426 between Kipling Island and the Coton Park island in the minutes leading up to the incident.

Police said the motorcyclist was wearing a distinctive leather jacket, predominantly beige in colour with two grass green vertical strips on the back of the jacket. He was of a slim build and is thought to be between 5’5” and 5’7”.
