Police close A5 after serious accident near Clifton upon Dunsmore

FIREFIGHTERS were called to the A5 yesterday (Sunday) following a collision between two vehicles.

The emergency called was received at 6.30am and two fire crews from Rugby and one from Long Buckby attended the crash scene on the A5 near Clifton.

The fire service said that two vehicles were involved and there were ‘multiple persons’ trapped.

Police and ambulance were also on the scene.

Officers closed the A5 following the crash while cutting equipment was used to free the casualties.
