Police confirm identify and post mortem results for George Summerfield who was found dead in Wolston

FOLLOWING a formal identification process Warwickshire Police have now confirmed that the body found on farmland close to the village of Wolston, near Rugby, on Tuesday, April 17, is that of George Summerfield.

A spokesman for Warwickshire Police said: “Police and local residents had carried out extensive searches of the Wolston area and locations where Mr Summerfield was known to visit.

“His body was found on Tuesday by police who were searching farmland near to the village.

“A post mortem examination has shown that Mr Summerfield died as a result of a heart attack and there are no suspicious circumstances to his death.

The matter has now been handed to the coroner.”
