Police hunt after pedestrians injured during hit and run in Stockton

A car lost control and hit eight pedestrians at a classic car show in Stockton last night (Wednesday).

The incident happened near to the Blue Lias public house shortly before 10pm as people were leaving a classic car show.

A silver Renault Clio lost control as it left and hit eight pedestrians who were at the side of the road, forcing some of them into the hedgerow, and then drove off in the direction of the A426.

No one suffered any serious injuries, but some of the pedestrians had grazes, cuts and bruises.

Police investigating the incident would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or has any information about the vehicle involved.
