Police hunt after teenager is attacked in Bilton

A teenager was attacked in Bilton this afternoon (Tuesday) by a man who tried to steal his mobile phone.

Police were called to an attempted robbery which happened in an alleyway near to the Co-op in The Green, Bilton at around 2.40pm this afternoon.

Officers said that a 19 year old man was assaulted during the attempted robbery when he refused to hand over his mobile phone.

His injuries have been described as ‘superficial’. He has been taken to University Hospital in Coventry.

Police could not confirm whether a weapon had been used or not as this had not been confirmed by the victim.

The attacker is described as a white male in his 20s, slim build, wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans and white Nike trainers.

He escaped with nothing.

Police are now looking for the attacker.
