Police warn of burglaries across Rugby

BURGLARS have forced their way into a number of homes across town during the last few weeks.

Between July 28 and August 1 offenders attempted to get into a home in Beech Drive, Rugby by attacking several windows.

They finally got into the house through a side window and searched the house before leaving with a mobile phone.

Between midnight and 9am on August 5 thieves got into a bungalow home in Burnside, Rugby through a bedroom window and stole several items.

Between 9am and 5pm on August 7 thieves smashed the back window of a home in Hillmorton Road, Rugby and got inside. They stole two laptop computers, an iPad, a silver photograph frame, a quantity of cash and a packet of tablets.

Between 4pm on August 17 and 9am on August 18 offenders broke into a home in Wentworth Road, Rugby and stole cash, items of jewellery, a flat screen television and the spare keys to two vehicles.

The cars were not at the property and therefore, were not stolen.

A house in Victoria Avenue was also targeted between midday at 1.45pm on August 17 when thieves broke in through a ground floor window. They stole cash.

Police are warning people to remain alert, on the lookout for suspicious persons, vehicles or activity around your own or neighbouring homes and please report anything of concern to police.
