PREMIER Foods is creating around 70 new jobs at its logistics operation on the Swift Valley Industrial Estate in Rugby.
It is part of a new initiative to deliver its products faster from its operations to its customers across the country.
The company, which produces brands such as Ambrosia, Hovis and Mr. Kipling, already has a good foothold in Rugby and has been the home to its national cake distribution centre (formerly known as Manor Bakeries) for nearly 25 years.
Over 47 million people consume at least one Premier Foods brand in any two-week period, underlining the company’s requirement to strengthen its logistics operation.
This will involve taking the current operation at Rugby that employs over 130 people and expanding it to a 200 strong work-force.
The company is looking specifically for potential employees that have stock management, administrative and financial systems experience.
