A SPELLBINDING journey into fantasy and imagination is promised at Rugby Theatre next week.

Children from the Christine Anderson Theatre School - known as CATS Kidz - are performing a show called Imaginarium at 7.30pm from Thursday December 6 to Saturday December 8. There’s also a matinee at 3pm on the Saturday.

The production is the 37th annual CATS show and caps off a busy and successful year for the Kidz. Several youngsters qualified for the semi-finals of the popular Northampton and Leamington Festivals, while in May the group danced at the Birmingham Hippodrome.

Three students successfully auditioned for the English Youth Ballet production of Swan Lake in Nottingham, with another won a role as a princess in a production of Cinderella at Disneyland Paris.

The Kidz attend classes two, three or four times a week and learn ballet, tap, modern jazz, freestyle and gymnastic dance. They’re also trained in acting and improvisation. Call (01788) 578236 for more information on the school.

For tickets, call the theatre’s box office on (01788) 541234.
