Children at Hillmorton Primary School have been learning about life in Africa.

They welcomed teachers Sidibeh and Michelle Jobe from Gambia for a week as part of an exchange project.

Children were excited to have the opportunity to learn about life in the West African nation.

Hillmorton Primary is working with SDA New Jeshwang school to further develop international curriculum links.

Last October the two schools successfully applied for the British Council’s ‘Connecting Classrooms’ grant. As a result, two teachers from Hillmorton Primary visited SDA New Jeshwang in March.

Hillmorton Primary’s international co-ordinator Caroline Redhead said: “The children at Hillmorton are very excited to have our Gambian friends here and to have the opportunity to learn so much more about life in a different country.“
