A German Shepherd puppy was stolen following an attack in Brandon Woods last night (Monday).

Police are now investigating the theft of the seven month old puppy called Star.

Star was stolen from her owner as he walked her in Brandon Woods in Wolston near Rugby last night at around 9.10pm.

Two men approached the owner and engaged him in conversation about his pet, before one of them grabbed the Star’s lead and the other pushed the owner to the ground and stole the dog.

Star is described as being a light sable colour German Shepherd and has lost two of her milk teeth at the front of her mouth.

Star is micro-chipped and was wearing a red diamante collar with a name tag in the shape of a bone, and a red lead when she was stolen.

Police want information about the two men and are appealing to anyone who was walking in Brandon Woods on Monday evening around 9pm. They would also like to hear from anyone who has any information about where Star is.

Anyone with information please contact Police Staff Investigator John Stewart at Local Investigation in Rugby on 01788 856126 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 where the information can be given anonymously.
