The presentation took place in Dunchurch on Saturday.

Michael Judge, who is on Dunchurch Festival Group committee, said: “This was a real bumper year for the group and, in turn, for a wide range of good causes around the
village.

As usual the June Fete Day was the main fundraiser, benefitting from a lovely sunny day, but the annual quiz, their disco night, the second Halloween Guy Fawkes Ghost Walk and the new addition to their calendar of variety shows at the end of September and other events cranked up the receipts and the enjoyment for villagers.

Father Christmas presented the money to community groups as the group put up the Christmas tree in front of the village church.

Michael said: “This is in preparation for another highlight of our village year.

“That was the much-anticipated Nativity Play and carol service which was enjoyed by everyone.”

Committee representatives would like to thank everybody who has supported the committee.
