Disney fans are in for a treat with the Civic Hall’s magical offering of Aladdin.

My six-year-old girl, who happens to be called Jasmine, loved every minute of this panto, which had just the right amount of slapstick and audience participation.

It was Aladdin (Rebecca Jayne Gage) who stole the show for me. An amazingly talented girl with a spine-tingling voice. The performance between Aladdin and Princess Jasmine (Jordan Dunn) of Frozen’s Love is an Open Door was mesmerizing.

Of course, no panto would be complete with a dame and the larger-than-life Widow Twankey (Steve Kray) did a fantastic job.

We also loved Wishee Washee (Anna Brook-Mitchell), her hilarious panda Tyson and villain Abanazar (Andy Pierce).

Boos and hisses in all the right places - a great family show.
