With superb flavours, exceptional quality, and stylish presentation, it isn’t difficult to see why Brownsover Hall Hotel has been recognised and rewarded for its incredible cuisine.
Now boasting an AA Rosette, the Victorian Gothic mansion’s food complements the building’s rich character perfectly and offers a faultless dining experience. With rich flavours and locally sourced produce, Brownsover Hall’s versatile menu offers a range of culinary delights, including melt in the mouth venison and succulent lamb wellington.
Each dish has been carefully crafted by the talented team to provide a fantastic combination of flavours and textures.
The generous portion of cauliflower soup, cheese and onion cobbler, and toasted walnuts was the perfect way to warm up on a cold November evening.
The creamy but light texture made the dish incredibly moreish and the toasted walnuts added a welcomed crunch.
Accompanied by soda bread, quail eggs and a sweet dill mustard dressing, the generous serving of smoked salmon was packed with flavour.
Wrapped in a fine layer of filo, the tender lamb wellington, rosemary roast vegetables, and lamb jus was certainly a meal to remember. Full of wholesome, rich flavours, the winter vegetables and tantalising jus proved to be a winning combination that will no doubt be difficult to beat.
The juicy venison, cooked to perfection and served elegantly, was bursting with flavour as it teamed up seamlessly with squash puree, banana shallots and blackberry jus.
A rich chocolate mousse topped with honeycomb and a slice of baked-to-perfection lemon and ginger cheesecake was the perfect way to end a truly fabulous evening.
With ample space in the dining room, generous portions and a sophisticated ambience, guests can expect a first-class experience when visiting Brownsover Hall Hotel’s award-winning WineGlass Restaurant.
