FATHER Christmas and his merry team of helpers are preparing to hop on his sleigh and make a whirlwind tour of the town during the festive season.
Once again the Rugby Rokeby Lions Club is preparing to launch its annual Christmas Float for 2011 which will see Santa and his sleigh visit various different parts of the town.
The Christmas Float will begin on Saturday and will run until Christmas Eve.
While Santa waves from his sleigh, a team of volunteers will knock on doors in the hope of collecting hundreds of pounds for local charities.
Mike Swan, vice president of the Rugby Rokeby Lions Club, said: “The float has just been repainted and we’re ready to go.”
