ROKEBY Primary School held its summer fete at the beginning of the month and raised a whopping £1,800 for the school’s PTA.

Mayor Cllr Gwen Hotten was on hand to open the fete, which took place on a hot sunny day at the Anderson Avenue school. Attractions at the event included Warwickshire Fire and Rescue service, a street dance display and several stalls, games and a bouncy castle.

Janet Still, of the school’s PTA, said: “I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped support the fate in any way - it was a big success and we managed to raised an impressive amount of money.

“The fete was busy for the whole two hours and everyone I’ve spoken to has told me how much they enjoyed it.”
