SOME rare and delectable mushrooms have been found growing in a Lawford garden.
Rosemary Shaw is hoping an expert can identify them and reassure her they are edible.
She was surprised when she spotted so many of the morels mushrooms in her garden as they are considered by some to be a delicacy. The fungi, which must be cooked properly before being eaten, are considered second only to truffles by chefs.
Mrs Shaw said: “It would be great if there was a mushroom expert out there who could tell me about them. I’d quite like to be able to cook with them but obviously you have to be very careful.”
Any mushroom experts who can help should contact Mrs Shaw through the Advertiser.
