KIND-HEARTED Rotarians have treated the young and old of Rugby to two special trips.

Rugby Rotary Club and four helpers from the Rugby Young Carers accompanied 31 youngsters on a coach to Drayton Manor Park as part of the annual KidsOut event. Since 1999 KidsOut has been helping Rotary International to take disadvantaged children out for a day out. They were all given T-shirts and baseball caps and organisers said they all had a great time.

The Rotary Club of Rugby also organised for 38 retired people in Rugby to spend a week in Blackpool recently. John Hunter, speaking on behalf of the Rotary Club, said: “For many years generous hoteliers in Blackpool have opened their hotels to retired folk.

“Many of the participants have so enjoyed the week that they have returned year on year to re-visit the three hotels that accommodate the Rugby group.”
