LONG Lawford woman June Moran is the lucky winner of the Advertiser’s £2,000 room makeover competition.
It was held to celebrate the first anniversary of the opening of the Co-operative Home and Living store in Rugby.
June, 79, of Ashman Avenue, said: “I couldn’t believe it when I found out I’d won.
“I donated all my dark wood furniture to the Bareboards charity in Rugby to make way for my new light furniture.”
June, who is married to Patrick, 80, has chosen her lounge for the makeover.
Scores of people entered the competition, with the winner drawn at random by Co-op area manager Bryan Wheatley.
Mrs Moran was given the choice of a new lounge, dining room or bedroom from the Co-op store in Chapel Street, Rugby.
