RUGBY folk-rock band New Town Revival will be joined by One Eyed Jack, Dirty Pool and Charlie Mucklow at a free gig at Vault this Saturday (May 19).

All the acts are from Rugby and have their roots in blues, folk and rock and roll. New Town Revival formed from Rugby’s vibrant open mic scene and, as is typical of musicians from Rugby, are more about passion than fashion when it comes to music. The easy-going feel-good group play both covers and original songs affectionately crafted in the bandmates’ living rooms.

The band will be supported by One Eyed Jack, a duo who specialise in rock and blues, peppering their energetic songs with catchy riffs and hooks.

Also on the bill are three-peice blues band Dirty Pool and solo acoustic guitar player and singer Charlie Mucklow. Dirty Pool play blues in the styles of Stevie Ray Vaughan, BB King, Howlin’ Wolf, Kent DuChaine and Joe Bonamassa. Charlie Mucklow is a familiar face in Rugby, singing a mix of original songs and pop and rock covers.

It’s free entry on the night and doors are open from 8pm.
