The count for Rugby’s 42 new wards began about 9am this morning (Friday May 4), but results are not expected until about 12noon at the earliest. The Advertiser will be tweeting from the town hall later with gossip, updates and results as they happen.

Rugby Borough Council is currently Conservative controlled by a large majority, but with Labour in particular increasing councillor seats nationally, and with every seat up for re-election, Rugby’s result is particularly hard to predict.
