Imagine the prestige of being named the best business in one of the region’s most thriving towns.

Well, here’s your chance to earn the top accolade at this year’s Rugby Business Excellence Awards.

The Business of the Year category is open to any company of any size, operating in any industry. It’s sponsored by Cemex, one of Rugby longest-standing employers.

Judges will examine the following:

1) The nature of your business and the products and/or services that you provide

2) Your approach to business planning and how it has benefitted your business

3) How your objectives have been met

4) Your plan to develop your business

5) How you train and develop staff and how you support community or environmental initiatives

6) How you have used innovation and technology to support your business aims.

And they want you to tell them, in 40 to 50 words, why you think you should win the award.

Ian Southcott, UK community affairs manager for Cemex, said: “Cemex’s continuing sponsorship of the Rugby Business Excellence Awards reflects the company’s commitment to the well-being of the business community in the town. A thriving, innovative and energetic business sector is vital to the success and future prospects of Rugby and will help to underpin economic growth and the recovery we all hope will become evident sooner rather than later!

“These awards have become a fixture in the town’s business and social calendars as the men and women who create the wealth and employment in Rugby come together to celebrate their success.”
