THE stage is set for an evening of dazzling entertainment and fine food at the Rugby Business Awards 2012.

There are just eight days to go until the biggest event in Rugby’s business calendar, a black tie awards ceremony at the Dunchurch Park Hotel. Special guest for the evening, on Friday June 1, is comedian Bobby Davro, who will be lighting up the stage with host Ian Richards, an after-dinner speaker and comedian himself. Guests will also be able to enjoy a three-course dinner, a raffle and auction and entertainment from a mystery guest.

The awards, which are sponsored by Cemex, celebrate the innovation, hard work and success of the area’s business community and will be raising money for the county’s air ambulance.

Guests will have a chance to bid on tickets for the London 2012 Olympics concert in Hyde Park and services to the value of £1,000 courtesy of Nationwide Windows.

Ginny Hunter, advertising manager at the Advertiser, said: “We’re delighted Bobby Davro will be joining us this year.

“He’s one of Britain’s best entertainers and we’re sure he’ll go down a storm along with Ian Richards.

“There are still some tickets left for the evening, which offers unrivalled networking opportunities for businesses in Rugby as well as a great night out.

“You don’t have to have entered the awards to come along and join us for a great night.”
