Lively acoustic duo the Record Covers have had their busiest year to date.
They are going out with a bang this year as they tune up for their ear their final gig before the New Year.
‘A Very Record Covers Christmas’ is live at The Bull Inn, Clifton, from 9pm, on Saturday December 20.
The gig will feature some special guests helping to add sparkle to the festive season with some stripped down Christmas covers.
These will be blended with some of their favourite covers from just about every genre.
Robert Low (guitar/vocals) and Callum McPhillips (guitar/vocals) have played many venues around the town in addition to private functions and live radio sessions.
Robert said: “We will be joined by special guests Becky Roberts and Simon Thompson this will be a fantastic end to our year.
“We have been looking forward to this gig at The Bull for months and it rounds off what has been such a busy year for the Record Covers.”
The duo launched in 2011 with Ian Claridge until he took a back seat after the birth of his first child.
Robert said: “Our friend and colleague Callum McPhillips stepped in and the enthusiasm and showmanship he brought really pushed us on. Now our huge range of covers go from the sublime to the ridiculous and this is what has kept us so busy.”
He added: “When you go for a night out you want to be entertained so that is what we try to do. We want to say thanks to all who have booked, supported, listened and heckled us this year and hope to see many of you at the Bull Inn in Clifton on the 20th from 9pm.”
The gig is free and the duo promise surprises on the night.
