A CONTINENTAL market which was supposed to be held in Rugby town centre for three days this week has been cancelled.
The market was due to take place today (Tuesday), tomorrow (Wednesday) and Thursday in the Market Place featuring a range of stalls from the continent.
Yesterday (Monday), Culture Festival organisers announced on its Facebook site that the event had been cancelled.
The notice says: “We regret to announce that the continental market planned for the July 5, 6 and 7 has been cancelled. We received an email from the organisers of the market late today informing us that they would not be attending, leaving no time to find a replacement.
“As organisers of the festival we are bitterly disappointed and apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
