Kind-hearted donators have helped raise £939 for a charity’s Christmas raffle.

The British Heart Foundation Furniture & Electrical store, in High Street, Rugby, gave a lucky ticket holder the top prize of a Marks & Spencer hamper.

The Rugby branch is looking for volunteers to help in its warehouse and shop floor.

Volunteers can gain NVQs in retail while there.

There is also currently ‘up to 50 per cent off’ sale.

Store manager Joanna Stewart said: “I’d just like to say a big thank you to all our customers, donors and volunteers for their continued support.

“The money they raised by buying our raffle tickets will go to scientists who are working out exactly how our heart and circulatory systems work; how to reduce damage from heart attacks and how to combat heart disease.”
