A man has been jailed for three years after he burgled Dunchurch Park Hotel and three other properties.

Daniel Green, 30, of Bilton Road in Rugby, appeared before Warwickshire Crown Court on Thursday May 7, where he was sentenced to three years in prison.

The sentencing came after Green committed two burglaries - one on Marlborough Road in Rugby and the other on Blackwood Avenue in Rugby on Saturday May 2.

The other burglaries were committed at Dunchurch Park Hotel and Copper Beech Mews Bilton Rugby.

Thousands of pounds worth of construction material, fixtures and fittings were some of the items Green stole during the burglaries.

He pleaded guilty to the offences.

DC Gary Hammond, the investigating officer, said: “I am extremely pleased with the outcome and hope this sends a strong message to criminals that Warwickshire Police will not tolerate such acts against our communities.

Burglaries have a devastating impact on victims and the offence is completely unacceptable. It is our priority to bring offenders to justice and protecting our communities from harm.”
