Rugby Music Festival has been given the provisional go-ahead for 2014 by Rugby Borough Council following negotiations over a suitable new venue.
RMF 2014 will now take place on August 9 at Whitehall Recreation Ground. The event is set to grow to 20 acts and cover two stages; a bigger main stage giving bands from Rugby and further afield the chance to entertain the large crowds, and an acoustic marquee stage to provide a more intimate environment for solo artists and audience.
David Head, event organiser, said “It’s great that we have the chance to continue the event into its fourth year as it had outgrown Caldecott Park. We are all really excited to be planning RMF again, but the first thing we need is to secure the finances. We want to deliver RMF 2014 free of charge so if any local businesses can help please get in touch.”
