A Rugby performer has starred in a new theatre tour featuring the best of British music – The Knights of Music – hosted by TV favourite Phillip Schofield.
Emily Brooks attended Kathy Stokes’ School of Dance in Coventry and attended Coventry Youth Operetta Group (YOG) before going professional and working nationally and internationally in various productions.
She said: “We had six people in the cast, not including Philip.
“This part of the world really does have a great performing arts tradition – you don’t have to look far in the West End or UK tours to see that so much of the talent comes from right here in Warwickshire and Coventry.”
Emily said she was thrilled to be starring alongside Phillip Schofield in the Knights of Music, which is Phillip’s long-awaited return to the stage having last trod the boards back in 1998s West End production of Doctor Dolittle.
The show features music from the best Knights and Dames of British music including huge hits from Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, The Beatles, Sir Tom Jones, Sir Mick Jagger, Dame Shirley Bassey and many more.
Phillip said: “I’m so thrilled to be hosting The Knights of Music.
“It is a great night of music and surprises.
“It’s been quite a while since I’ve appeared on stage so I was really looking forward to a great evening.”
The Knights of Music is directed by Gary Lloyd whoi was behind Thriller Live.
